Presentation: Lung Inequalities Among Black Smokers: Consequences, Causes and a Call to Action
Minority and underserved communities have some of the highest lung cancer incidence and mortality rates in the US and worldwide, yet lack of diverse enrollment in clinical trials means most data and many healthcare decisions are based on majority populations. The Health Equity Spotlight series shines a light on bias and disparity issues in lung cancer care that often impact minority, underserved, low socioeconomic status, or invisible populations at all levels of the lung cancer continuum.
