Don’t miss this weekend’s highly anticipated International Lung Cancer Survivorship Conference (ILCSC24). This free, virtual conference, held on September 20-21, is a fantastic opportunity for people around the world to access the most current lung cancer information and treatment recommendations from the comfort of their home.

We asked three lung cancer advocates what it is they're looking forward to most this weekend and heard three very different answers. There truly is something for everyone at ILCSC24.

Edward “Buddy” Cutler (NSCLC, USA)

Is interested in learning more about how to expand his advocacy efforts to effectively lobby for more federal funding for lung cancer research. He’s looking forward to learning more about how he can live even better with lung cancer. And he’ll be paying special attention to experts discussing the latest treatment options in immunotherapy.

Merel Hennink (ROS1+ NSCLC, the Netherlands)

Is a big fan of Project PEER and she’s excited to hear more about how LUNGevity is bringing the patient perspective to researchers and decision-makers in the lung cancer space. She’s also looking forward to the discussion about progress in small cell lung cancer treatments. For the people attending the conference for the first time, she highly recommends looking at the on-demand “Lung Cancer Basics” sessions.

Montessa Lee (SCLC, USA)

Believes ILCSC is important because it allows us to see the progress we’ve made so far and to see the plans for the future. She’s also interested in the global scope of the conference, which will allow us to understand how lung cancer is being treated around the world.

Make sure to check out the conference agenda here to find the sessions you're most interested in. And don’t miss hearing more from Buddy, Merel, and Montessa as they share their stories during the ILCSC24 Survivorship Panel on September 21 at 2:30 PM ET.

With compelling personal experiences and useful treatment takeaways from top experts from around the globe, ILCSC24 is quickly becoming the event of choice for lung cancer survivors worldwide. We hope to see you there!
