WASHINGTON (April 10, 2012) – LUNGevity Foundation, the nation’s largest lung cancer-focused nonprofit, will host  Breathe Deep DC Bowling at Bowlmor Lanes in Bethesda, Md. on May 5, 2012. The event, taking place during Lung Cancer Hope Month, will raise funds for treatments and cures for lung cancer.

LUNGevity invites all to join NBC Washington News4 Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer and area lung cancer survivors for a fun evening of bowling, including a raffle. Prizes include a premium wine basket, a J.McLaughlin Aken tote bag, and a $100 gift certificate to Bowlmor Lanes.

Several Breathe Deep DC Bowling packages are available including individual bowler, non-bowler, and group bowling for up to 8 participants. All packages include food, two drink vouchers per person, and two hours of bowling. Registered groups will have a reserved, private lane.

LUNGevity created Lung Cancer Hope Month, in May, to recognize the hope for better treatments and cures for lung cancer, improving lung cancer survival rates and quality of life for lung cancer patients and their loved ones. During the month, LUNGevity is hosting a number of events to build awareness of the lung cancer community and raise funds for critical lifesaving research.
