There's plenty to do and see before, between, and after the conference sessions!
The Survivor Expo will be held on Friday, April 26, from 12 pm to 4 pm. The Expo will be an informal, open session for participants to explore booths, vendors, and activities, all with information on how to live well with lung cancer. Booths will feature information on integrative medicine, taking care of yourself, healing, work and legal, family, and research/therapeutics. Participants are also invited to complete conference check-in during this time. Come to check out the booths, get your headshots, watch cooking demonstrations, and try out pulmonary rehabilitation exercises.
New experiences can be intimidating, especially when it seems like everyone else already knows each other. Come to the Newcomer Reception on Friday, April 26, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm for a meet and greet with other participants new to the ILCSC community.
Meet friends old and new as ILCSC is officially kicked off on Friday with the Welcome Reception. Join us from 7:30 to 9:00 pm for drinks and hors d’oeuvres and to get to know your fellow conference participants before the weekend sessions. This year’s Welcome Reception will include a performance by country artist Wade Hayes.
A wide variety of meetups are held so you can connect with others who share your experiences and interests. We’re planning meetups based on biomarkers, disease stage, age group, lifestyle factors … and the list is growing! See the meetup group schedule here. For more information about the meetups, visit the Registration & Information table at the conference.
The Exhibit Hall, which will be open for participants to enjoy throughout the weekend sessions, will feature booths with resources for patients, caregivers, and their families, including booths sponsored by industry and other patient advocacy organizations.
Join us Saturday evening following the International Lung Cancer Survivorship Conference sessions for a fun-filled, casual Pizza Party. The Pizza Party is a great networking opportunity, allowing you to continue to make connections and talk with the other attendees of the conference in an informal, friendly setting. Come as you are or come in your PJs! Enjoy dinner with friends, new and old, and reflect on all of the day's education. The Pizza Party will take place at the conference hotel, so you won't have to travel for dinner. Come for food, friends, and fun!
The Pizza Party is a ticketed event. Please purchase your ticket here.
